"I Want to Quit!"

Mistake That Will Make You Say, "Enough is Enough"

Imagine asking Beethoven to sculpt or Michelangelo to compose music.

Ridiculous, isn't it?

As absurd as it may sound, I recently witnessed something similar.

A friend of mine has a brilliant marketer who helped his company achieve explosive growth, and in return, he made him a partner.

Sounds great, right?

Wrong.

Now, as a partner, the guy is dealing with HR issues, financial reports, and operational headaches. He's not using his superpowers anymore; he's just trying to stay afloat.

The company's growth has slowed, and today he's overwhelmed and unfulfilled.

Yesterday, he told my friend, "I want to quit."

This got me thinking…

Promoting someone (or yourself) out of their zone of genius can backfire — hard.

Growth comes from doubling down on strengths, not diluting them with distractions. How often do we force ourselves to wear every single hat, even the ones that don’t fit?

Why do we expect ourselves to be amazing at everything?

Sure, we can always learn. But let’s be real — we shine brightest when we stay in our zone of genius.

Our job isn’t to master every skill in the business, but to get crystal clear on what we do best — and then find smart ways to delegate, automate, or partner on the rest.

Real growth happens when you stop trying to be everything and leverage your genius like no one else can.

Do that — and watch your solo-business (and your life) transform.

Wishing you success,
