The Biggest Risk...

The biggest entrepreneurial risk isn’t your business. It’s what happens at home while you’re building it.

Most people don’t talk about this.

Entrepreneurial couples split up more often than their 9-to-5 friends.
Research puts our divorce rate between 43–48%.

I remember one night—past midnight, laptop screen lighting up a dark room.
I was chasing one last email.
My wife sat across from me.
She didn’t say much.
But her eyes said it all: “I feel lonely.”

Back then, I thought I could “balance it all.”
Turns out, balance isn’t the right word.
It’s more like a seesaw — sometimes business goes up, sometimes family does.
Rarely both at once.

Here’s what I’ve learned the hard way:

Chasing your dream can mean losing the
people you love most if you’re not careful.

So, what’s the answer?

I don’t have it all figured out, but I do know this:

Now, I try to share the vision — and the risks.
I ask, “What do you need to feel okay while I build this?”
And I really listen.

Building a business is impressive.
But building a life that feels whole?
That’s even harder — and even more important.

Wishing you success,
